channel-f is the common project of Wolfgang Hoffer und Ryan Garcia. Currently they both live and work in Vienna, but their musical roots are beyond doubt to be found in Detroit. When listening to their releases it is easy to hear that they have been thoroughly studying the sound of the motor city. However, simply labeling their sound as Detroit-Techno would be inadequate. In fact, their concern is to give the Detroit-Sound a new aesthetic approach. Using their sensitivity, Garcia and Hoffer combine the soul of Detroit and the clarity of current European productions.
