sound:frame Workshops
30.03. - 02.04.2010
In cooperation with wienXtra (jugendinwien and medienzentrum), ZIT (Center for Innovation and Technology) and ZOOM (Multimedia Lab of the Children’s Museum)
What is mapping and how does it work? What does a VJ do, and where does he get all those cool videos? Tagtool Mini, what is that?
The sound:frame workshops provide an answer to these questions and offer a widely varied program for both the young and the young at heart. Focusing on the theme of dimensions, this year’s festival deals with performances on threedimensional spatial structures. The workshops Mapping with Modul8 and Quartz Composer, the participants are introduced to both the approach and the technology. Oma International says “take it to the streets” in their workshop “Urban Guerilla Action”. While children from 6 to 13 can experiment with animation and sound, the necessary know-how for a live VJ Performance can be obtained in only two further workshops.
Also, the artists’ implementations in exhibitions and events are made accessible in the workshops and thereby deign a look behind the scenes.
